Pasta Spot is an authentic southern Italian food wagon, a classic mom and grandma recipe. Created to bring some traditions and magical moments from Italy in every house in Puerto Rico. Our terrace will also provide a cozy informal area to sit and enjoy our exquisite dishes, located right at the entrance to Marshall in Santurce. Our products are freshly prepared daily to provide the best culinary experience to our customers.
CHEF "ALDO" ALO
He was born on November 24, 1978 in Luxembourg. With a family base of chefs, he begins his career In the kitchen at 12 years old as a dishwasher at his uncle's restaurant.
In that year he entered the Istituto Professionale di Stato per i Servizi Alberghieri e della Ristorazione “G.Pastore” (IPSSAR), in Castellana Grotte. One of the largest and most distinguished cooking schools in the south from Italy.
Then he returns to northern Italy to work in prestigious restaurants In 1999, the cooking school and comes to Puerto Rico to work at La Perla Piazza in Old San Juan. So to 20 years old, not speaking Spanish or English but with all passion, directed an entire kitchen for a space of 9 months, then Italy returns to work in the north in highly prestigious restaurants such as del Hotel Principe Venezia.
After having worked in these restaurants of great prestige gave him the opportunity to receive and serve distinguished clients, celebrities, politicians and celebrities like Bill Clinton, Mick Jagger, actor James Franco and soccer player Raul González of the Real Madrid team, among many others.
In 2018 he was the winner in one of the Chopped competitions of the FoodNetwork television network.
Finally in July 2020 he opens his first restaurant in Puerto Rico, Pasta Spot. A 100% Italian place in Santurce, where you enjoy traditional southern Italian food made with the same love and care that Mom and Dad do.
